Preville & Associates Consulting Group delivers policy research for development in several areas, including: development of sector strategies and policies, (including export strategies, services sector strategies, industry strategies); preparation of sector specific technical reports for adoption or negotiations; development of investment climate strategy and action plan; and master plan development, among others.
In the 20+ years of conducting policy research, Dr. Preville has delivered services to a range of clients at the multilateral, national and regional levels. One of the most recent works done was the preparation of a policy paper on the “promising sectors in Small Island Developing States” for the United Nations. The paper developed strong analysis and policy recommendations for implementation in the areas of digital trade; sustainable and inclusive tourism; cosmetics production and the blue economy. The paper was presented at the SIDS4 Conference held in Antigua and Barbuda in May 2024.
Other recent works include development of an e-commerce strategy for the Caribbean; a gender responsive services sector policy for Saint Lucia; Impact Study of Free Trade Agreements between Australia and Papua New Guinea; conducting an investment climate assessment Survey for Saint Lucia; Development of a National Trade Policy for Papua New Guinea; Design of a National Export Strategy for Grenada; Revision of Saint Lucia’s Tourism Incentives Act; and Development of a Services Sector Policy and Expansion Plan for Dominica, among several others.
Dr. Preville has proven direct experience in reporting, analyzing, elaborating, and presenting technical trade related reports, policy documents, and recommendations in order to improve and/or strengthen trade developments and promotion.
